I have been emailed time and again to ask, why is my candle burning slightly lopsided?
The simple and straight forward answer is, you are not trimming your wick!
To acheive the best from your Yankee Candle you need to keep the wick trimmed to roughly 1/4 inch, if your wick is to long you will create a channelling running through the candle and the sides are still filled with wax. Once this happens their is nothing you can do to prevent wasting half your candle, this is because the flame is to high and is burning through the wax quickly. If your wick is kept at 1/4" you will create a nice staedy burn time enabling your whole candle to burn away evenly.
Always take care when trimming your wick...
