Bad Buyers With Good Feedback - Sellers Snookered!

This guide is written to warn sellers of the growing problem of BAD buyers with GOOD feedback!

This problem has come about because of the changes that ebay have made to the feedback system.

When an item is sold to a Buyer there is now NO OPTION of leaving Neutral or Negative feedback for the buyer.

There is ONLY the option to leave Positive feedback!

Obviously, this means that even if a buyer gives you no communication, ignores all your emails and messages, and only pays at the last moment, without so much as a 'sorry for the inconvenience'(and In order for you to stop having the "You need to leave feedback" popping up every two minutes) you HAVE to leave Positive feedback - Sometimes forterrible buyers! (You could try leavingnone at all, but it is not recommended for your sanity)

I have had a few that I had to mention 'Non-Paying Bidder Alert' to to get them to pay up... Then I had to leave Positive feedback for them!

So, what can we do?

There's only one way to work within the framework we're given by ebay, and that is to wirte the facts in the positive feedback comment box and hope that other sellers note this when they have a bid from the person and remove the bid - And possibly block the buyer from bidding on their future auctions.

This is against the rules of feedback - So how does it work?

While it stands it makes its point - If it gets removed the bad seller loses their star - great result either way - This way you have not left good feedback for a lousy seller!

Recently Ihad to leavethe comments "Paid Eventually" or "Thank you for your last minute payment!" or how about "I'm not able to give NEGATIVE FEEDBACK - I would have if I could have!" ... This could act asa warning to other sellers as long as they read the feedback!

It's also all you can do! There is no provision for marking out the bad buyers thanks to ebay rules!

I would have preferred to resell the item to someone who deserved it - But of course, I was bound by ebay rules to sell to the timewasters!

I take ebay very seriously and work within the rules and with the community spirit. I give honest feedback and always take circumstances into consideration. communication is the key - If you're a buyer with a problem - Tell the seller! And Vice versa... Don't become a Bad Buyer for the sake of an e-mail.

And Sellers... don't let the bad buyers get away with it because they think they can do whatever they like!

This guide is all my own work and has been written in the spirit of helping other ebay users.
