Despite what Duvetdog reports, there is no blanket ban on tickets and/or passcodes for the O2 led Zeppelin concert. In cases where a person has purchased a passcode from eBay (or indeed just been given it) and they have then purchased the tickets in their own name (not the code winner) the tickets will be honoured if the purchaser attends in person to collect the tickets, producing the purchasing card and photo id. Guidance issued last Thursday (18/10) byTicketmaster UK (on instructions from Harvey Goldsmith's office) and also passed to the O2 staff, state this clearly, and state that such tickets "will be validated" if the code was one initailly issued on Oct. 1st. The code winner's name and the purchaser's name do not have to match. This is confirmed by all three organisations. Purchasers are being advised to bring the above proofs of purchase, plus a copy of the confirmation email from Ticketmaster, when they attend the O2 to collect the tickets and wristbands. A quick look at the recent entries on Harvey Goldsmith's own blog will confirm this information.
However, if the ballot code was won in the second round of the ballot (i.e. on or after 23rd. october) then the original code-winner has to be the same person as the purchaser. Here is Ticketmaster's full confirmation of the above :

As a result of an injury sustained by one of the band members, the Ahmet Ertegun Tribute Concert featuring Led Zeppelin at The O2 Arena, planned for 26 November has been rescheduled to 10 December 2007.
The original tickets remain valid for the new date, subject to the terms and conditions issued with the passcodes used to buy the tickets.Original purchasers must collect tickets in person prior to the event and produce valid ID that matches the name on the credit card used for the purchase and for passcodes issued on or after 23 October, the ID must match the name against which the passcode is registered as well. Please see the promoters' terms and conditions issued with your passcode for further details. The tickets are non-transferable and are for the personal use of the original purchaser only.
If the original purchaser is unable to attend the rescheduled date, a full refund of the face value of the ticket (125 per ticket), together with all applicable Ticketmaster booking fees, will be provided. If you are unable to attend the rescheduled date, please contact Ticketmaster Customer Services on 08444 999 999before 12:00 noon (UK time) on Wednesday 14 November 2007 in order to claim a refund. All refunds will be processed to the credit card used for the original purchase only.
